Land near nature: the beach, the mountain and the conservancy

For buyers who love wildlife, mountain views and quiet. Plots near Malindi's beaches, with Mount Kenya on the skyline, and beside Ol Pejeta Conservancy.

Some buyers want to be close to town. Others want the opposite: a place where the loudest thing is the wind, the view is a mountain, and the neighbours have stripes. If that is you, here are three kinds of land we sell near nature, and what to think about before you buy.

By the ocean: Malindi

The beach at Malindi

Malindi Gardens is in Chakama, inland from Malindi town and its beaches, about 45 minutes away. The plots are less than 1 km from the Malindi-Tsavo-Voi tarmac.

Nature here goes beyond the beach. Tsavo East National Park is reached through the Sala Gate, the Arabuko-Sokoke Forest is nearby, and Marafa’s Hell’s Kitchen gorge is in the area. Buyers choose it for a holiday home, for retirement, or to hold for the long term.

Nanyuki sits on the slopes below Mount Kenya, with a cool highland climate. Our two projects there, Ushindi Gardens and Urban Oasis, both have views of the mountain from the plots.

Urban Oasis is about 15 minutes from Nanyuki town, close to the tarmac and the Nanyuki Airstrip, with larger plots available. Ushindi Gardens is about 20 minutes from town, off the tarmacked Nanyuki-Rumuruti Road.

Beside the conservancy: Ushindi Gardens

Ushindi Gardens is beside the Serat Gate of Ol Pejeta Conservancy, in Laikipia. The Lolldaiga conservancy is also in the area, and the equator crossing is close by.

For a holiday home or a place to retire, it is hard to beat waking up with the conservancy on one side and Mount Kenya on the other.

What to think about before you buy near nature

  • Visit at different times. Come in the morning and the evening to see the light, the wind and how quiet it really is.
  • Check the access road in the rains. Ask how the road behaves in the wet season, and how far the tarmac is.
  • Ask about water and power. Find out what is on site now and what is planned.
  • Think about how you will use it. A holiday home you visit four times a year needs different things from a home you retire to.
  • Respect the neighbours. Land next to a conservancy is special because the wildlife is protected. Expect rules about fencing and building near conservation areas, and ask the county what applies.

All three projects have ready titles and can be paid for over 6 months, with no bank loan. Book a site visit or WhatsApp us on 0111 279 703 and we will show you the land.
