Who we are
This website is run by Ameristar Limited, trading as Ameristar Real Estate ("we", "us"). We decide how the details you share here are used, which makes us the data controller under Kenya's Data Protection Act 2019. Our main office is at Central Plaza, 4th Floor, Room E11, Ruiru. What we collect
- When you send an enquiry, book a site visit or ask for a brochure: your name, phone number, email if you give it, the project you ask about, your message, how you plan to join a site visit, and the page and advert link you came from.
- When you subscribe: your email address.
- When you message us on WhatsApp: your number and what you write. The website adds a short reference (the page and advert you came from) to the message before you send it, and you can delete it.
- If you accept cookies: Google Analytics and the Meta pixel record which pages you visit and which advert brought you, with your browser and device type and an approximate location. We do not see your name in these reports.
Giving us your details is your choice. Without a name and a phone number we cannot call you back about a plot, but you can still browse the site and WhatsApp us directly.
Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry, arrange your site visit or send your brochure, because you asked us to. This is a step you take before entering a sale with us.
- To email you about new projects, offers and site visits, only if you subscribed. This is based on your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.
- To see which pages and adverts work, only if you accept cookies.
- To keep records the law requires if you go on to buy a plot.
We do not sell your details, and we do not use what you send through an enquiry form for marketing unless you subscribe or ask us to keep you updated.
Who else sees it
We share your details only with the companies that run parts of this service for us, and only as much as each one needs:
- our website host and email service, which carry your form to our sales team;
- Google, which runs our newsletter list and lead records (Google Sheets), and Google Analytics if you accept cookies;
- Meta, which runs WhatsApp and, if you accept cookies, the Meta pixel;
- Cloudflare, which protects and speeds up this website.
Some of these companies store data on servers outside Kenya. They do so under their own data protection terms, which include safeguards for transfers. We would share your details with a public authority only where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and site visit requests: up to 2 years after we last spoke, unless you buy a plot.
- Buyer records: as long as the law requires us to keep sale and payment records.
- Newsletter email: until you unsubscribe.
- Analytics data: 14 months in Google Analytics.
How we protect it
The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Forms are checked for spam, and the settings and passwords that send your details are kept outside the public website. Only our sales and admin staff can read lead emails.
Cookies
The site works without analytics or advertising cookies. Two kinds of cookie are set without asking because the site needs them: a short session cookie that protects the forms from spam, and security cookies Cloudflare may set to block automated attacks. Analytics and advertising cookies load only if you accept them in the notice at the bottom of the page.
Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act 2019 you have the right to:
- be told how your details are used (this page);
- see the details we hold about you;
- object to how we use them, including for marketing;
- have wrong details corrected, and details we no longer need deleted;
- receive your details in a format you can take elsewhere;
- withdraw consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing or changing your cookie choice.

If you are unhappy with how we handled your details, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner at odpc.go.ke.
Children
This website is for adults buying land. We do not knowingly collect details from anyone under 18.
Changes
When we change this notice, we update the date at the top.
